Design Engineer – Sandis

Sandis is currently looking for a Design Engineer to join our team in Oakland, CA. Our ideal candidate has experience with civil design, permitting, and applicable software applications including stormwater drainage programs and AutoCAD. $35.00/yr – $47.00/yr

• Assist with developing improvement plans including rough/finish grading, stormwater management, and utility plans
• Design utility systems including water, sanitary, and storm drain
• Assist with fire flow tests
• Interact with other members of a design team including architects, landscape architects, and MEP engineers
• Engineering support during construction, including review of material submittals, answering RFIs, site observations, and other tasks
• Conduct engineering assessments
• Prepare technical engineering reports
• Coordinate with private, public, and governmental agencies

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• 1+ years of relevant experience
• EIT certification preferred
• Familiarity with AutoCAD
• Familiarity and understanding of rough and finish grading plans
• Knowledge of utility systems including sanitary sewer, storm drainage, and water distribution
