Your opportunity

Shape a future where people and societies grow and flourish. We are seeking a highly motivated Marine Structural Engineer to join our team in Oakland. You will work closely with a team of experts alongside our customers on some of North America9s most significant projects.

Responsibilities
  • Apply broad and deep knowledge in structural engineering and marine infrastructure projects.
  • Perform tasks in the field of structural analysis and design, including reinforced and pre-stressed concrete design, steel design and timber design; deep foundations; gravity-based foundations; earth retaining structures, etc.
  • Implement design best practices and ensure compliance with codes, standards, and client specifications.
  • Perform and review calculations for analysis purposes.
  • Prepare construction documents and oversee construction administration activities.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior engineers.
  • Conduct site inspections, prepare observation reports, and generate written documents within project timelines and budgets.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) or higher in Civil or Structural Engineering;
    Master of Science (MS) degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of prior project-based engineering experience. Preference focusing on waterfront and coastal design, construction, maintenance, and rehabilitation. Other structural engineering experience including buildings and offshore structures will be considered.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one.
  • Ability to be self-directed and manage multiple responsibilities in a brisk environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Willingness to travel for field work up to 10%.

Base compensation: $73,600 to $114,600 for Oakland location only. Actual compensation is subject to variations due to education, experience, skill set and/or location.
