Job Description
OverviewSubstation Project Engineer with strong substation experience to oversee and manage the engineering scope for multiple utility substation projects. This role supports 30–60 active projects at a time and requires a candidate who excels in coordination, communication, and technical problem‑solving.
You will be responsible for project scoping, material procurement, resolving engineering questions, and maintaining alignment between field operations and design engineering teams. Approximately 50% of the week will be spent in the field coordinating with design engineers, project managers, and construction stakeholders.
Required Skills- 5+ Years of Substation Project Engineering Experience
- Electrical Engineering Degree (Bachelors)
- Strong knowledge of substation equipment, design standards, and construction practices.
- M365 Experience (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, etc)
- Organizational & Time Management skills
- Professional Engineer (PE) License
- Experience leading or mentoring small engineering or project teams.
- Masters or PhD
- Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems or Power Engineering
