As part of HDR’s Transportation Business Group, you’ll help shape the systems that move people and goods safely, efficiently, and sustainably. From designing resilient highways and iconic bridges to advancing transit, passenger and freight rail, aviation, federal transportation ports and marine infrastructure, your work will directly support economic vitality, public safety, sustainable and resilient communities and quality of life.
Responsibilities- Manage capital program engineering design and construction projects or programs in assigned areas from conceptual design through completion; project areas may include Trackwork, station improvements, Traction Power and electrical systems, automated fare collection, and other tasks as needed for state‑of‑good repair.
- Perform construction project management duties; prepare cost estimates; prepare and monitor project schedules and budgets; conduct field inspections as required; monitor work in progress.
- See that the proactive project management system plans, organizes, controls, and evaluates all work.
- Produce and coordinate several projects concurrently.
- Implement, monitor, and support company policy.
- Work with multidisciplinary teams and manage technical personnel.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- 10 years related experience.
- Minimum 5 years project management experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- MS Office and MS Project experience (Access experience would be plus).
- Demonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skills.
- Commitment to being an active participant of our employee‑owned culture.
- PMP certification.
- Understanding of traction power systems for various transit agencies.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments.
- Excellent organizational, project management and communication skills.
