Enginious Structures, Inc., is a small consulting firm in downtown Oakland that specializes in new residential and low‑rise commercial building projects, remodels, seismic upgrades, and seismic evaluation reports as well as providing engineering services for the glazing industry.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking an Mid‑to‑Senior level Structural Engineer to fill an immediate full‑time position for a structural design engineer. The ideal candidate will perform structural calculations and prepare building evaluation reports for a wide variety of challenging projects, sketch details for CAD personnel or make revisions using AutoCAD, provide construction phase services and interface with clients. The candidate will also be engaged in assignments designed to develop engineering and business knowledge and abilities.
Our portfolio of projects ranges from medical, office buildings, hotels and university campus buildings, to the seismic retrofit of small apartment buildings and residential renovations. Because we are a small firm, employees are exposed to all types of projects and all aspects of the business.
Qualifications- BS or MS in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Currently a P.E. and desire to obtain a California SE
- Excellent writing and verbal skills
- Experience with Type V construction and seismic retrofitting
- Experience with AutoCAD and Revit is a plus
- Experience with aluminum and glazing design is a big plus
