The Role

Do you want to help with the advancement of renewable energy? DNV Energy Systems is hiring a Project Manager Solar Independent Engineering within our team.

In this role, you will work on a variety of solar and solar + storage projects throughout North America. You will be exposed to the entire project life cycle, working with the biggest developers and financiers in the space with cutting‑edge technology.

This role can be based out of a DNV office in the following markets:
Oakland (CA), San Diego (CA), Austin (TX), Houston (TX), Portland (OR), Seattle (WA), New York City (NY), Medford (MA), or Dallas (TX), presenting a dynamic hybrid schedule where employees typically spend three (3) days per week working from either a DNV office or client location/site. Further details regarding role‑specific requirements will be shared during the interview process. The position may also be considered at other DNV offices within the US.

What

You’ll Do
  • Initiate and coordinate the technical review process among internal specialists including civil and electrical engineering, energy assessment, technology, and permitting teams, and synthesize and write due diligence reports.
  • Perform overall project management activities and ensure excellent customer communication as the key point of contact for the execution of due diligence engagements.
  • Perform portions of due diligence reviews, including contract and financial model reviews, and synthesize inputs from technical disciplines, as well as other reviews and analysis within your expertise.
  • Discuss and resolve technical issues with project developers, lenders, and investors, including coordinating input on such issues from internal technical specialists.
  • Develop and win proposals for scopes of services related to due diligence work.
  • Coordinate or perform DNV construction monitoring and site visit activities.
  • Support customers through the financial closings of projects.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts including leading tool development, process refinement, digitization efforts, and lessons learned activities.
  • Advance team and industry thought leadership.
