About the Opportunity
The Department of Multidisciplinary Graduate Engineering within the College of Engineering invites applications for Adjunct Faculty positions for teaching selected graduate courses in the Multidisciplinary Master’s Degree programs in Oakland, CA. The MGEN unit seeks to produce more effective software engineers who can address the needs of digital society in terms of time, cost, and quality by revolutionizing how software is designed and evolved, and viewing software as a systems engineering challenge rather than a coding problem.

Teach selected graduate courses in the Multidisciplinary Graduate Engineering Degree programs.
- Preparation of lectures and course materials
- Preparation of examinations
- Evaluation of student performance
The Multidisciplinary Master’s Degree suite includes: MS in Information Systems focusing on the intersection of technology and business, and MS in Information Systems Bridge for non-STEM students bridging business and technologist roles. Courses include application engineering and development, engineering big-data systems, and engineering secure software systems.
QualificationsM.S. or Ph.D. in relevant engineering discipline is required; some professional and/or teaching experience preferred. Must have strong, effective verbal skills to communicate well with students.
