Electrical Engineering Intern – Oakland, San Francisco, or Sacramento
AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineering Intern.
Responsibilities- Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out engineering tasks, further developing judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.
- Exercise judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.
- Prepare engineering related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids.
- Research and apply building code, regulatory and industry code requirements.
- Prepare electrical design calculations and utilize electrical design software.
- Work under supervision of an Electrical Engineer or senior-level team member.
Minimum Requirements
- Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields from an ABET‑accredited university and have completed at least two years of study.
- Candidates who have graduated with a Bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with a Master’s degree are eligible.
- Graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree during the most recent school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline after the internship.
- Electrical Engineering student with an interest in power systems.
- Experience with AutoCAD and REVIT.
- Knowledge of power system analysis software such as SKM and/or Easy Power.
- Understanding of lighting calculation software such as Visual 3D, AGI 32, Elumtools.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel based equations and functions.
- Relocation assistance is not available.
- Sponsorship for U.S. employment authorization is not available now or in the future.
- Successful interns may be eligible to return for additional internships.
- All newly hired employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment.
$25 per hour.
