As a highly skilled, self‑motivated Fire Protection Engineer with two or more years of experience, you will:
- Design automatic suppression systems, fire detection, alarm, and mass notification system designs.
- Perform code analysis including egress, fire‑resistant construction, and smoke control analyses.
- Conduct general fire protection and life safety concepts and research.
- Utilize FDS, Pyrosim, and CONTAM for performance‑based design efforts.
- Perform research and document findings for internal and external distribution.
- Manage day‑to‑day contacts with internal and external clients.
- Use computer skills including AutoCAD, Revit, email, word processing, spreadsheets, and drafting.
- Provide project management support for internal projects and external client needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Fire protection specific degree (preferred).
- Registered as a Professional Engineer (PE), Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT), or ability to take the FE exam within the next six months.
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in fire protection engineering.
- Experience with the current versions of AutoCAD and Revit.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Approximate base salary $80k–120k based on experience.
- Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate.
- Competitive end‑of‑year discretionary bonus based on company, team, and personal performance.
- Hybrid work schedule (subject to change).
- 401(k) with maximum 5% contribution matching for 9% employee contribution.
