Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis of transmission towers and utility poles, ensuring designs meet safety and engineering standards
- Review and validate pole and tower calculations for accuracy and compliance with project requirements
- Design and retrofit lattice steel towers, including repairs, modifications, and upgrades to existing structures
- Evaluate existing structures and develop new concrete foundation designs to support transmission systems
- Create and review shop details and engineering drawings for steel structures and transmission components
- Support projects involving overhead transmission structures, including both new installations and system improvements
- Utilize AutoCAD for drafting and design documentation in support of engineering deliverables
- Perform structural modeling and analysis using PLS-TOWER, with familiarity in PLS-CADD
- Apply strong knowledge of concrete and steel design to ensure durability and structural integrity
- Support contract resubmittals and incorporate revisions based on client or regulatory feedback
- Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to execute project deliverables efficiently
- Contribute immediately to active projects with hands‑on experience in transmission and overhead structures
- PLS-TOWER
- Bachelors Degree - Civil Engineering (HARD REQUIREMENT)
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- Strong structural engineering background with experience in lattice steel structures
- Proficient in PLS-TOWER (required), with exposure to PLS-POLE, AutoCAD, or Micro Station preferred
- Experience modeling and analyzing steel structures for transmission or overhead systems
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Excellent communication skills with ability to collaborate across engineering teams
