  • Develop engineering solutions from planning and conceptual design through final design and construction.
  • Prepare and coordinate technical memoranda, engineering reports, design calculations, construction drawings, technical specifications, cost estimates, schedules, and other project deliverables.
  • Take technical deliverables through final-draft completion, applying GEI’s QA/QC procedures and reviewing calculations, drawings, reports, and other work prepared by project staff.

  • Coordinate and prepare engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D and provide technical direction and review of design documents.
  • Participate in client meetings and work with Project Managers to understand client needs, communicate technical information, and deliver responsive client service.
  • Support construction-phase engineering and field activities, including submittal and RFI review, field observations, construction coordination, work planning, and resolution of design and construction issues.
  • Support proposal development and business development efforts, including technical approaches, scopes of work, staffing, schedules, cost estimates, and identification of opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients.
  • Travel to project sites and other GEI offices as required, including occasional overnight travel and temporary out-of-area assignments.
