- Lead mechanical design efforts on projects from concept through final construction close-out
- Coordinate design development and provide technical direction to project team members
- Complete mechanical designs with minimal direction
- Write technical reports and create presentations of findings
- Present results in meetings
- Identify and analyze mechanical design issues, including alternatives and life cycle analyses
- Represent the team to clients
- Coordinate design details, plans, and drawings for HVAC, plumbing, and fire life safety systems
- Conduct HVAC load analysis and duct design, including code compliance and equipment selection
- Perform fluid-flow calculations and hydraulic analyses for piping systems
- Prepare process and instrumentation diagrams and control sequences for pumping and ventilation systems
- Perform design reviews and quality assurance/control
- Plan discipline-specific work distribution and lead adherence to schedules and budgets
- Assist with marketing responsibilities and proposal generation
- Develop scopes of work and level of effort and manage scope and budget adherence
- Oversee completeness and accuracy of project team work
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members
- Coordinate technical project aspects with clients and teaming partners
- Lead discipline delivery on larger, multidisciplinary projects
- Coordinate schedules, hours, and work distribution across disciplines
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Professional Engineering license (PE) in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience with Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Blue Beam
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 8 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree in Engineering and 7 years of relevant experience, or PhD in Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience
- Senior-level technical expertise in engineering solutions
- Ability to lead mechanical design efforts from concept to construction close-out
- HVAC, plumbing, or fire protection design experience related to commercial, institutional, and infrastructure facilities

Proficient in leading design efforts from concept through construction close-out while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
