Compensation:
Starting salary: $75,000 per year

The Accounting and Finance Analyst provides essential support to the Budget Manager and the Finance department by assisting in budget preparation, monitoring expenditures, maintaining financial records, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies. The analyst plays a key role in ensuring accurate record‑keeping, data entry, and report generation, and is vital in helping the organization achieve its financial objectives and maintain fiscal responsibility.

• Input budget data, track expenditures, and maintain accurate financial records using relevant software and systems, including reconciling differences, verifying accuracy, and making corrections as needed.
• Assist in preparing budget documents, forecasting, and analyzing financial data, including collating information, creating reports, and supporting budget review processes.
• Analyze budget variances and identify significant deviations, explain variances, and recommend corrective action.
• Provide technical support and guidance on budget‑related software, systems, and processes, such as troubleshooting issues, training users, and ensuring efficient use of financial tools.
• Perform additional duties as requested by the Director of Finance and/or CFO, including special projects.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
• Minimum two years of experience in accounting, preferably in the non‑profit sector (required)
• At least two years of financial analysis experience
• Experience with computerized accounting ledger systems, preferably Abila MIP

• Knowledge of nonprofit accounting, including OMB Circular A‑122
• Knowledge of payroll processes
• Understanding and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Teamwork and collaboration skills
• Familiarity with grant management
• Strong work ethic and commitment to accuracy
• Proficiency with MS Office, including advanced Excel
• Organized and ability to manage multiple processes
• Strong communication skills
