Code Enforcement Officer

The future is now, Willdan is "Envisioning the Future" of building and safety through our work with cities, buildings, and transportation. Public Agency Resources (PARS), a subsidiary of Willdan Group Inc., is seeking a part-time Code Enforcement Officer in the Alameda County, CA area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Patrol assigned areas with the team and monitor vendor activity for compliance with city/county codes.

* Educate vendors on permit requirements and applicable regulations.

* Issue warnings, notices of violation, and citations as appropriate.

* Respond to community complaints regarding vendor activity in a professional manner.

* Document inspections and enforcement actions, including reports and photos.

* Collaborate with teammates, local law enforcement, health departments, and city officials as needed.

Job Requirements / Qualifications

* Background in law enforcement, corrections, code enforcement, or security preferred.

* Certified Code Enforcement Officer, current or prior law enforcement, or PC 832 certification.

* Strong communication skills (oral & written).

* Bilingual Spanish is preferred.
