Occupational Therapist, OTR (Healthcare)

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist at McClure Post Acute. This position offers full-time, part-time, and PRN opportunities within our in-house program. New graduates are welcome to apply.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop effective treatment plans and obtain approval for services from referring physicians.

Treat patients according to the physician treatment plan.

Assist the nursing department with training Restorative Aides.

Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants in direct patient care, following state practice acts.

Communicate with supervisors and other health team members regarding patient progress, issues, and plans.

Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation conferences as needed.

Conduct in-service training for staff; document evaluations, treatment notes, progress notes, recertification, and comply with state and third-party requirements.

Record treatment modifications as per policies; instruct patients’ families or nursing staff in maintenance and caregiver training for discharge planning.

Recommend and facilitate ordering of durable medical equipment to support patient independence, such as braces, walkers, canes, and grab bars.

Report equipment issues to ensure proper maintenance.

Minimum Requirements:

Valid Occupational Therapy License
