About Education for Change Public Schools (EFC): Founded in 2005, EFC is a charter management organization operating seven schools in Oakland's Fruitvale and Elmhurst neighborhoods. Serving over 3,000 students, EFC is dedicated to providing a superior public education to Oakland's most underserved children by creating a system of public schools that relentlessly focuses on our students' academic achievement.
Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the upcoming school year. This part-time role requires in-person services two days per week, working with a caseload of approximately 35-40 students. As an SLP with us, you'll have the opportunity to utilize Liricare's innovative tools and resources to enhance your service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify students' speech and language needs.
Provide evidence-based therapy to address speech, language, and communication disorders.
Work closely with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student success.
Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary.
Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, contributing valuable insights.
