Company DescriptionABLED is a fast‑growing, mission‑driven nonprofit, based in Orangevale, where adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities come to build real‑world job skills, confidence, and independence. We’re not a sit‑and‑watch program: our days are active, structured, and hands‑on. Clients rotate through job stations, earn certifications, practice workplace communication, build stamina, and develop the social‑emotional tools they need to succeed in competitive employment.
You might see someone mastering inventory in our warehouse station in the morning, practicing customer service skills after lunch, and leading a peer meeting by the end of the day. We partner with local businesses, prepare clients for supported and competitive employment, and celebrate every milestone: from first resumes to first paychecks.
We’re serious about outcomes, but we have a lot of fun getting there. There’s music during clean‑up, high‑fives for task mastery, leadership lessons that actually feel empowering, and a culture built on dignity, accountability, and possibility. At ABLED, we don’t focus on limitations: we focus on what’s possible when people are given structure, high expectations, and real opportunity.
