Role Description

This is a full-time on-site position based in Oakland, CA. The Director of Event Operations will oversee all aspects of event planning, management, and execution, utilizing the hotel's state-of-the-art facilities. The role involves collaborating with clients to conceptualize events, coordinating with teams to ensure seamless execution, managing budgets, and driving sales opportunities for event hosting. The Director will also focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences while ensuring all events align with the hotel's standards of excellence.

Qualifications
  • Strong experience and expertise in Event Planning and Event Management
  • Exceptional Communication skills to engage with clients, teams, and stakeholders effectively
  • Proficiency in Budgeting and financial management related to event operations
  • Sales skills to identify and capitalize on opportunities to grow the events portfolio
  • Strategic leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Event Management, Business Administration, or related field is preferred
  • Prior hospitality industry experience is highly beneficial
