We are dedicated to providing a supportive environment for our faculty and staff and are looking for a meticulous and organized part-time Human Resources Coordinator to join our busy Business Office.
About the RoleThe part-time Human Resources Coordinator plays a vital role in our hiring operations, providing essential administrative support that allows our faculty and staff to focus on their primary goal: educating students. This position involves working closely with the HR Director and Payroll Manager to ensure a seamless experience for all employees throughout their lifecycle at the school.
Responsibilities- Recruiting Workflows: Manage the recruiting process, including job postings, application tracking, and onboarding documentation.
- Reference Checks & Clearances: Coordinate reference checks and ensure compliance with pre-employment clearances (Live Scan, TB, SB 848).
- Record Management: Maintain electronic personnel files and HR records with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Training Support: Track and support required employee and volunteer trainings to ensure compliance.
- HR Projects & Communications: Assist with various HR projects, internal communications, and updates to the intranet.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years of HR experience (school or nonprofit preferred)
- Demonstrated knowledge of California employment law
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and discretion
- Proficiency with HRIS systems (pref Paycom), ATS systems (pref Lever) and Google Workspace
- Experience in a school or nonprofit environment
Part-time (50%) with excellent benefits, hybrid working arrangements, flexibility in schedule.
