Responsibilities
- Analyze existing application interfaces and tools; prepare logical models and procedures.
- Develop SQL code and scheduling scripts; test and debug application interfaces and tools.
- Diagnose, isolate, and resolve data and performance issues across systems.
- Perform planned and ad-hoc corrective maintenance to ensure continuous system operations.
- Investigate and resolve incidents, bugs, exceptions, and discrepancies in applications and data.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of usage or operational data collected, processed, and reported.
- Provide oversight of 24-hour clock package processing to ensure timely delivery aligned with operational SLAs.
- Support recovery and reprocessing of failed jobs to ensure accurate reporting and data presentation.
- Prepare system and development documentation and obtain necessary approvals.
- Develop conversion and implementation plans.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define, document, and refine system requirements and deliverables.
- Propose enhancements to procedures, processes, and tools.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Provide backup operational support as needed.
- Interact with vendors and contractors when required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in application operations, infrastructure technologies, and operational support.
- Experience designing, deploying, and troubleshooting large-scale, complex infrastructure and application systems.
- Strong experience with:
- SQL development and performance troubleshooting
- Application integration and batch/job scheduling
- Familiarity with enterprise infrastructure components including networks and backup systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple departments.
- Experience supporting large-scale utility or enterprise systems.
- Experience working in regulated utility or highly structured environments.
- Knowledge of operational processes and system integrations.
