Job Summary:
The Technical Writer develops and maintains manuals, standards, procedures, and guidance documentation that support regulatory compliance and operational safety within the organization. This role works closely with internal stakeholders to gather technical information and translate complex processes into clear, structured documentation that is accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences.
The position focuses on creating high-quality documentation such as standards, guidelines, procedures, and process maps while ensuring content is accurate, consistent, and aligned with internal governance requirements. The writer will also support documentation management practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of documentation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain technical manuals, standards, procedures, and bulletins.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather information required for documentation.
Translate complex technical information into clear and easy-to-understand content.
Produce guidance documents including standards, guidelines, procedures, and process maps.
Create flowcharts and organizational diagrams using documentation tools such as Visio or similar platforms.
Ensure documentation meets formatting, grammatical, and technical accuracy standards.
Maintain documentation within enterprise content management and document management systems.
Follow company documentation standards and governance guidelines.
Support updates and revisions to documentation as processes evolve.
Participate in documentation planning and content strategy initiatives.
Required Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in technical writing or documentation development.
Experience developing standards, procedures, and technical documentation.
Experience working with enterprise documentation tools and processes.
Experience collaborating with subject matter experts to collect and document technical information.
Nice-to-Have Experience:
Experience working within utility or infrastructure organizations.
Familiarity with company guidance document management standards.
Experience supporting process improvement and operational documentation initiatives.

Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
