Position Overview
We are seeking a high-energy, passionate, and visionary Solution Architect to join our Enterprise Strategy & Architecture group. Reporting to the Lead Enterprise Architect, you will act as a Master Planner with a big‑picture mindset, responsible for turning our strategic business vision into concrete, scalable technology implementation roadmaps. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of asset-heavy business processes, application portfolios, and modern IT infrastructure.
You will own the architectural integrity of a multi-million dollar portfolio of applications, empowering execution teams with reusable patterns while steering enterprise strategy in absolute alignment with the company’s True North Strategy Goals. Work type:
Hybrid. 1-2 days a week in office.

- Strategic Roadmap Ownership:
Partner with senior business and IT leadership to design end-to-end technology roadmaps across Integrated Planning, Project & Portfolio Management (PPM), Engineering & Estimating, and Work Management domains. - Architecture Modeling:
Create detailed business and data architecture models to align commercial goals and utility‑scale outcomes with clear technical execution paths. - Asset & Risk Rationalization:
Evaluate the current state IT application environment for the asset and risk domains, defining the future‑state target IT architecture; lead application rationalization, vendor assessments, and the technical scope of RFPs. - Delivery & Governance:
Provide technical governance and enterprise architecture views to support cross‑functional project solution designs; coordinate roadmaps across enterprise groups to mitigate technical conflicts, redundancies, and interdependencies. - Enablement & Mentorship:
Build and maintain prioritized portfolio backlogs for shared capabilities; empower agile engineering squads by delivering reusable architecture patterns, reference architectures, and decision‑making frameworks, while coaching and mentoring implementation teams across the value chain. - Innovation:
Stay updated with emerging industry segments including AI, edge computing, and grid modernization technologies to champion portfolio modernization.
- Education:
BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a highly technical related field (or equivalent practical experience). - Enterprise
Experience:
Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in Enterprise Architecture and Solution Architecture, with a proven track record of handling complex, large‑scale systems. - Mindset:
Proven self‑starter who thrives in fast‑moving, cross‑functional, and agile corporate environments. - Utility Domain Expertise:
Direct experience working within or alongside the Utility industry, specifically focused on core domains such as Integrated Planning, PPM, Engineering & Estimating, and Work Management. - Core Systems Knowledge:
Hands‑on architecture implementation experience with heavy enterprise platforms including SAP, Primavera P6, Engineering & Estimating tools, and Enterprise Reporting/Analytics suites. - Architectural Frameworks:
Expert‑level understanding of business capability mapping and business process reengineering (BPR); related industry certification such as TOGAF is highly preferred. - Leadership &
Soft Skills:
Superior communication and interpersonal skills; strong sense of ownership and executive presence to collaborate seamlessly with business executives and IT development teams. - Advanced Degree:
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Administration (MBA) is desirable.
Salary range: $98,040.00 – $ USD (base pay). Any additional compensation is not guaranteed and is at the discretion of the company.
