IT Project Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Manager, Digital Workplace Engineering, combines ownership and leadership of multiple platforms to create great outcomes and user experiences by focusing on the end user rather than specific tools and technologies. The role oversees end‑user computing engineering, managing and maintaining physical desktops, virtual desktops, and virtual applications including Microsoft Intune, Windows 11 endpoints, Citrix Workspace, Windows 365 Cloud PCs, Azure VDI, and governs platforms that enable business processes, automations, and artificial intelligence such as Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft Copilot, Moveworks, Atlassian, and Ivanti Service Manager.
The manager inspires change, leads through uncertainty, and collaborates with senior leaders and stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes. He or she provides training and consultation on technology use, focuses on user experience, and develops and leads a digital transformation strategy and roadmap to enhance employee work experience, improve business processes, increase operational efficiency, and support organizational goals.

- Alignment with IT and business strategy, communicating consistent direction to the Workplace Engineering team.
- Exploration and implementation of innovative strategies and technologies, building a future‑ready digital workplace.
- Management and maintenance of platforms with a focus on operational excellence, uptime, and user experience.
- Development of short‑term and long‑term plans to deliver digital workplace services and solutions that enhance productivity and meet business needs.
- Championing a user‑centric approach in all initiatives, ensuring user experience drives decision and design.
- Shifting focus from tool‑centric to outcome‑centric strategies, measuring success by business impact and user satisfaction.
- Active participation in recruitment, evaluation, motivation, development, promotion, and performance improvement of the team.
- Definition of team scope, planning processes, detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and monthly status reports.
- Conducting team meetings and managing team tracking and analysis.
- Planning, directing, monitoring, and participating in development activities for team projects; ensuring quality of deliverables.
- Creation of annual maintenance and project budgets, keeping executives informed on emerging technologies.
- Management of relationships with service and support vendors, setting clear expectations.
- Review, management, and resolution of complex problems involving multiple teams, systems, or functions.
- Maintenance of positive, proactive relationships with other IT managers and business units.
- 8+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree; 1+ years of supervisory/management experience.
- Deep understanding of digital workplace collaboration technologies, including Microsoft 365 cloud solutions, Atlassian technologies, end‑user computing, and telecommunications.
- Proven track record in transformation initiatives involving people, processes, and technology.
- Self‑driven leadership delivering end‑to‑end technology projects, including cloud platforms and architectures.
- Proficiency in ITIL and continual service improvement.
- Experience managing and maintaining technology and service delivery platforms in highly available enterprise environments.
- Demonstrated enterprise leadership through “Lead Like a Boss” pillars and competencies.
- Preferred: 10+ years in digital workplace technologies and service leadership.
- Preferred: 7+ years managing highly technical teams.
- Preferred: 5+ years implementing Service Level Agreements with associated metrics.
- Experience with infrastructure services and application systems.
- Highly knowledgeable in business plans, IT plans, technology roadmaps, and technical proposals.
- Ability to analyze requirements and recommend timely solutions.
- Knowledge in budgeting and financial management.
- Creativity in problem analysis and solution direction.
