Position Summary
The Data Analyst is responsible for transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive operational and strategic decision‑making. This role requires an exceptional communicator who can clearly explain data, assumptions, and insights to technical and non‑technical stakeholders alike. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in Power BI for reporting and visualization and Foundry for advanced analytics and data modeling, and is comfortable working across multiple enterprise systems and teams.
Location& Duration
- Location: Oakland, CA (Hybrid: up to 2 days per week onsite)
- Duration: July 06, 2026 – March 10, 2027
- Data Analytics: Python, Excel, and SQL
- Reporting: Advanced Power BI (executive boards and day‑to‑day dashboards)
- Enterprise Systems: SAP
- Tools: Willingness to learn Copperleaf, Foundry, and GIS
- Analyze business data to identify trends, patterns, risks, and opportunities.
- Demonstrate broad expertise in data processing and analysis.
- Respond to ad hoc and recurring data requests with accuracy, clarity, and timeliness.
- Collect, clean, validate, and integrate data from multiple sources.
- Extract and analyze data from SAP to support planning and forecasting.
- Create automated data routines to ensure efficient, repeatable reporting.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations using Power BI.
- Utilize Foundry for advanced analytics and data modeling.
- Apply GIS tools for spatial data analysis.
- Leverage Copperleaf for asset investment planning and lifecycle cost analysis.
- Clearly communicate analytical findings and recommendations to diverse audiences.
- Translate complex data into concise, compelling narratives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data‑driven solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining dashboards in Power BI.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with structured datasets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
- Hands‑on experience using Foundry for data analysis or modeling.
- Experience with Copperleaf.
