Job Description
Seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Dev Ops Engineer to support, automate, and maintain critical geospatial applications and cloud infrastructure within a utility/energy company environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong AWS infrastructure expertise, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), CI/CD automation, Linux and Windows administration skills, and experience supporting Esri ArcGIS Enterprise environments. Experience in the energy and utilities sector is highly desirable.
Roles & ResponsibilitiesRequired Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code best practices.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS Code Pipeline, Code Build, and Azure Dev Ops.
- Develop and maintain AWS Systems Manager (SSM) automation documents, Runbooks, and operational workflows.
- Administer AWS services including EC2, EFS, ALB, Route 53, IAM, KMS, AMI, and Security Groups.
- Configure and support AWS networking components including VPCs, subnets, routing, and security controls.
- Implement infrastructure monitoring, logging, and alerting using Cloud Watch and Cloud Trail.
- Manage AWS Secrets Manager and Systems Manager Parameter Store for secure credential management.
- Support containerized workloads using Amazon ECS and ECR.
- Develop automation scripts using Python, YAML, Bash, and Power Shell.
- Administer Red Hat Linux and Windows Server 2022 environments.
- Build and maintain automated deployment processes for enterprise applications.
- Support AWS Lambda functions and Step Functions workflows.
- Manage and support Amazon S3 storage solutions.
- Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot AWS RDS PostgreSQL and DynamoDB databases.
- Collaborate with development, GIS, and infrastructure teams to ensure secure and reliable cloud operations.
- Follow Dev Sec Ops best practices and security compliance requirements.
- Perform system upgrades, patching, and operational support activities.
- Manage source code repositories using Git Hub.
- Utilize Sonar Qube and JFrog for code quality and artifact management.
- Create technical documentation, operational procedures, and disaster recovery runbooks.
- Strong hands‑on experience with AWS Systems Manager (SSM) and Runbook development.
- Strong experience in AWS Code Pipeline and Code Build implementation.
- Experience managing AWS infrastructure using Terraform Cloud Work spaces and reusable modules.
- Experience with EC2, ALB, EFS, IAM, KMS, Route 53, Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail, S3, ECS, ECR, RDS, and DynamoDB.
- Experience with Python, YAML, Bash, and Power Shell scripting.
- Strong Linux (Red Hat) and Windows Server administration experience.
- Experience with Git Hub‑based source control and CI/CD processes.
- Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise components including Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Data Store, and ArcGIS Pro.
- Experience deploying and supporting Esri GIS products in cloud environments.
- Familiarity with FME Core and FME Engine deployments.
- Experience with AWS App Stream 2.0.
- Experience with AWS API Gateway.
- Knowledge of utility or energy industry business processes and regulatory environments.
- Previous experience working within an Energy/Utility company.
- Prior experience supporting Esri GIS platforms and geospatial applications.
- AWS Professional or Associate Certifications.
- Terraform Associate Certification.
- Dev Ops and Infrastructure Automation certifications.
Experience with AWS Systems Manager (SSM) automations, Runbooks, and AWS Code Pipeline/Code Build is mandatory. Experience working in an Energy/Utility company and supporting Esri products is highly preferred.
CompensationSalary Range: $110,000–$130,000 a year
