We are seeking a BigID Platform Engineer / Data Privacy SME to own and provide technical leadership for our enterprise BigID platform across production and non-production environments. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with BigID, data discovery, privacy platforms, AWS, databases, and API integrations
.
- Serve as the technical owner and SME for BigID Core and BigID Privacy Portal
. - Manage BigID architecture, integrations, scanners, workflows, and platform enhancements.
- Support data discovery, classification, and interpretation of scan results across enterprise data sources.
- Collaborate with Privacy, Security, Infrastructure, and Application teams.
- Provide technical troubleshooting, platform guidance, and vendor coordination.
- Support cloud and hybrid environments, including AWS-hosted components.
- 3+ years of experience with BigID or similar data privacy/governance platforms
. - 7+ years of experience in technical engineering, programming, or platform support.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, Oracle, databases, and enterprise data repositories
. - Experience with AWS services (IAM, compute, networking, security).
- Strong scripting and API integration experience.
- Understanding of data governance, data discovery, and privacy concepts.
- Experience with privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA
. - Experience with platforms like One Trust, Collibra, or Microsoft Purview
. - Background supporting enterprise privacy, security, or data governance initiatives.
