Job Description

The Senior Applications Analyst applies industry standards to plan, organize, and conduct Business Needs Assessments—commonly referred to as Business Requirements—for developing systems that are cost effective, creative, and meet users’ needs. The role may involve solutioning complex challenges, recommending and implementing system configurations to achieve project goals, and providing durable support throughout the Development Lifecycle. Responsibilities include gathering and documenting business requirements, creating use case scenarios, modeling business processes, and planning to ensure delivered systems meet business needs.

• Works independently assisting the business in building upon the project definition, description and vision document, including scope, risk, and stakeholder identification with infrequent oversight.
• Plans, coordinates, and creates written documentation that clearly describes business needs, such as Business Requirements, Business Use Cases, Process Models, Business Needs Analysis, or Conceptual Design Documents.
• Gathers and analyzes requirements, and researches current and proposed solutions for the development, modification, or enhancement of programs or systems.
• Engages in dependency analysis, functional design, workflow analysis, use case analysis, data and process modeling, and understands current and future business rules.
• Participates in testing by partnering with the Test Lead to support Test Planning, incident research, analysis, Test strategy, QA and user acceptance testing functions as needed.
• Leverages deep understanding of system behavior and data properties to assist Test Lead in determining efficient and effective testing approaches for broad and/or complex topics.
• Prepares and plans all aspects of the Requirements discipline, including estimating, feasibility analysis, meeting facilitation, management and executive reporting, change request management, issue tracking, process improvements, and project planning.
• Provides support throughout the project lifecycle, directly participating in issue resolution, break and hot‑fix support, triage, and resolution of all project incidents, documentation maintenance, and traceability related to the Requirements discipline.
• Stays current with customer needs and strategies; communicates updates and findings orally and in writing; facilitates meetings and presentations to diverse audiences.
• Configures COTs application to fit business and operational needs.

• 4+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree.
• Business analysis experience in a technical environment, supporting large business, IT, and executive teams.
• Experience with process and data-driven structured analysis techniques.
• Excellent communication, influence, presentation, team building, and interpersonal skills; able to present goals, scope, and requirements to any organizational level.
• Ability to conceptualize business problems and propose creative solutions.
• Champion of change, process and best practices for both business and technical teams.
• Ability to train, lead, and mentor others with subject‑matter expertise.
