A well-established law firm is seeking a Construction Litigation Attorney to join its Oakland office. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex construction disputes involving commercial, infrastructure, and public works projects. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation experience and an interest in construction-related matters.
Key Responsibilities- Handle construction litigation matters in state and federal courts.
- Assist with arbitration, mediation, and other alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal memoranda.
- Conduct legal research and analyze construction contracts and dispute issues.
- Manage discovery, including depositions, document review, and coordination with experts.
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the California State Bar.
- 3–8 years of construction litigation or complex commercial litigation experience preferred.
- Experience with construction contracts, delay claims, defect claims, or public works disputes is a plus.
The annual salary for this position is between $250,000 and $400,000. Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
