Overview:
Our client, a prestigious law firm, is seeking a highly qualified Transactional Midlevel Associate with 3-6 years of law firm experience to join their Tax Practice .

This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic team on complex tax matters involving public and private companies, private funds, portfolio companies, and alternative investment vehicles. The successful candidate will have a strong background in transactional tax law, with a particular focus on fund formations, limited partner investments, mergers and acquisitions, and other related areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent public and private companies, private funds, portfolio companies, and alternative investment vehicles in various tax-related matters, including fund formations, limited partner investments, mergers and acquisitions, and other transactional tax issues.
• Manage and oversee transactional matters, ensuring that all aspects are handled efficiently and effectively.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex tax-related agreements and documents.
• Analyze and interpret tax laws and regulations, providing strategic advice to clients.
• Collaborate with clients and colleagues to ensure that all agreements align with the broader transactional goals and objectives.
• Communicate complex tax concepts clearly and effectively to clients and other stakeholders.
• Work independently to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California Bar
• 3-6 years of law firm experience, with a focus on transactional tax matters.
• Proven experience representing public and private companies, private funds, portfolio companies, and alternative investment vehicles in tax-related matters.
• Strong deal management, drafting, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Ability to understand how individual agreements fit within the larger landscape of agreements and goals.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation and Benefits:

• The base salary or hourly wage range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors.
• Final salary or hourly wages offered may be outside of this range based on individual circumstances.
