Position Overview

we are seeking a Senior Logistical Planner to support supply chain and material planning operations for a diverse portfolio of utility projects. This role is responsible for managing inventory planning, forecasting, material requirements, procurement coordination, and supply chain optimization to ensure material availability while maintaining target inventory levels and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate will possess strong SAP MRP expertise, advanced Excel skills, and experience in inventory management, forecasting, and supply planning within a complex operational environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage supply planning activities across multiple material categories and business programs.
  • Review and release purchase requisitions, initiate stock transfers, and expedite material deliveries to support project schedules.
  • Develop and maintain inventory forecasts, replenishment strategies, and supply plans.
  • Monitor inventory levels and optimize planning parameters to achieve target fill rates and inventory turnover goals.
  • Coordinate material allocation plans during shortages and communicate impacts to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Program Management, Construction, Operations, Procurement, and Finance teams to align supply plans with business needs.
  • Maintain SAP Material Requirement Planning (MRP) parameters and master data.
  • Analyze inventory trends, demand forecasts, and material consumption patterns.
  • Support emergency response activities by providing off‑hour material procurement and expediting assistance during storms and critical events.
  • Present supply chain findings, recommendations, and performance metrics to management.
  • Mentor and coach team members on supply planning best practices and inventory management processes.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, Logistics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of Supply Chain, Inventory Planning, Material Planning, Logistics, Procurement, or related experience.
  • Hands‑on experience with SAP MRP (Material Requirements Planning) or similar ERP/MRP systems.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management, forecasting, replenishment planning, and supply chain operations.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including:

  • Keyboard Shortcuts
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 7+ years of Supply Chain or Material Planning experience.
  • APICS CPIM Certification.
  • Experience with SAP ERP, SAP APO, Oracle Demand Planning, or other forecasting/planning platforms.
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma tools and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Utility, energy, manufacturing, construction, or large‑scale operations industry experience.
