e.l.f. Cosmetics Product Development Team Member
Join our fast-paced product development team and play a pivotal role at the intersection of packaging, sourcing, and new product development. You'll own critical workflows from component assessments and supplier communications to PO execution and data integrity, ensuring every launch moves from idea to shelf with precision and speed.
Responsibilities:
- Own initial component assessments for new product development (form, fit, function, risk, and readiness).
- Coordinate incoming/outgoing packaging shipments and sample flow to meet project timelines.
- Manage and dispatch finished goods specification templates to suppliers, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Initiate component, and finished goods testing per standard operating procedure and analyze results.
- Manage component color-matching submissions between brand and suppliers.
- Lead packaging topics during supplier calls; support to drive decisions, actions, and follow-ups.
- Maintain item master data: create new SKUs and set up accurate BOMs in Net Suite.
- Support the packaging engineer on sustainability and compliance initiatives (material specs, recyclability, labeling, documentation).
Sourcing Support:
- Generate purchase orders and manage the end-to-end procurement cycle through billing completion.
- Develop, maintain, and audit trackers to ensure data accuracy across all milestones.
- Own first-production sample coordination and present to the executive team as needed.
- Partner with the NPD team on cross-functional projects to keep launches on track.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Advanced Excel skills required (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, data validation, complex formulas).
- Net Suite experience preferred but not essential.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and consistent follow-through.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; confident leading external supplier conversations.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with a process-improvement mindset.
- Independent, strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to build strong cross-functional partnerships and thrive in team environments.
$25 - $30 an hour
The base salary range for this role is listed above. Total compensation includes base salary, annual company-based performance bonus, and equity. Under e.l.f.'s annual bonus program, employees are eligible to earn up to 200% of their target bonus when company performance exceeds defined goals. In addition, e.l.f. provides a variety of other benefits to employees, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a retirement savings plan, gender neutral parental leave, and unlimited paid time off.
The amount of total compensation (including base salary) offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including geographic location, experience, specific skills, and qualifications.
