Kingdom Builders Transitional Housing Program DBA Oakland Dream Center 3 is a non‑profit organization dedicated to providing housing and comprehensive support services to individuals re‑entering the community after incarceration. Our mission is to facilitate successful reintegration by addressing housing needs, offering employment resources, and fostering community connections. Position Summary:The Executive Director (ED) is a dynamic and visionary compassionate leader responsible for the overall strategic, operational, and financial management of the organization. The ED will work closely with the CEO, staff, community partners, and stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of services and programs that support the re‑entry population. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the challenges faced by individuals re‑entering society, experience in non‑profit management, and a passion for social justice.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Leadership and Management:
- Provide visionary and strategic leadership to the organization, aligning programs and initiatives with the mission and goals.
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring the effective implementation of programs, services, and initiatives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team of professionals, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with the Board of Directors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Assist in the development and implementation of the strategic vision and direction of the organization.
- Foster a culture of inclusivity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure alignment of the organization’s mission, goals, and programs with community needs and stakeholders’ expectations.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the staff and CEO.
- Provide timely and accurate information to the CEO regarding the organization’s operations, performance, and challenges.
- Implement board policies and decisions effectively.
- Develop, design, implement, and evaluate programs and services that address the housing and support needs of the re‑entry population.
- Ensure programs are evidence‑based, culturally competent, responsive to the needs of clients and align with best practices.
- Collaborate with community partners, government agencies, and other stakeholders to enhance service delivery and expand program reach.
- Monitor and report on program outcomes, ensuring continuous quality improvement.
- Adapt programs to meet changing needs and emerging trends in re‑entry services.
- Recruit, hire, train, and retain a high‑performing team.
- Provide ongoing supervision, coaching, and professional development for staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations and implement improvement plans when necessary.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive work environment.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with legal requirements.
- Oversee the financial health of the organization, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Assist in the development and implementation of fundraising strategies to secure funding from diverse sources, including grants, donations, and partnerships.
