The External Affairs Division is currently recruiting for one (1)
Marketing and Media Supervisor with demonstrated hands‑on social media experience and the ability to conceptualize, develop, and execute campaigns in both strategic and creative capacities. This role will focus on building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships while leading and coordinating monthly campaign and planning meetings, ensuring best practices are followed, and proactively addressing engagement challenges. It will also develop and implement strategies to expand and diversify audiences, with a focus on engaging youth as well as multilingual and multicultural communities across varied regions.

In addition to leading and boosting the District’s social media presence, this role may also work in other marketing and media functions such as coordinating public‑facing events (press conferences, ribbon cuttings, community engagement events); writing talking points; liaising with the media, including responding to inquiries or interview requests and proactive pitching; and helping to produce multimedia projects.

IDEAL CANDIDATE
  • Experience leading creative large‑scale marketing, advertising, and public information campaigns related to community initiatives.
  • Strong media relations skills, including spokesperson duties and message development.
  • Excellent writing and editing abilities across digital, print, and multimedia content.
  • Extensive hands‑on social media experience, with the ability to both conceptualize and execute campaigns – acting as a strategist and creator.
  • Proven experience in sourcing content from cross‑divisional sources and reproducing it in a cohesive way that feels unified in voice and branding aesthetics.
  • Ability to lead cross‑divisional projects, manage timelines and budgets, and analyze performance metrics.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, leading and planning monthly campaign/content meetings, ensuring best practices are followed, and proactively troubleshooting engagement challenges.
  • Ability to expand and diversify audiences, developing strategies to engage youth and multilingual, multicultural communities across diverse regions.
