Summary
SUMMARY:
Under supervision of an anesthesiologist, participates or assists in the administration of anesthetics by inhalation, intravenous, regional, and neuraxial methods. Participates under the supervision of a physician in intubation and resuscitation of newborn infants. Performs related duties as required.

Education
Graduate of an accredited Nursing program required;
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred;
Graduate of a school of anesthesia complying with the standards of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists and the California State Board of Registered Nurses.
Two years of full-time experience in the administration of anesthetics by inhalation and intravenous methods in an active acute hospital or clinic may be substituted for the educational requirement. Experience in obstetrical and emergency anesthesia and experience in the intubation and resuscitation of newborn infants is considered desirable.
Required Licenses/CertificationsBLS/CPR and ACLS certifications at the time of hire. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
Required Licenses/CertificationsCertification as a Nurse Anesthetist by the California State Board of Registered Nurses.
Required Licenses/CertificationsValid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of California. Current participants in an accredited nurse anesthesia programs with pending graduation and licensing may qualify contingent on completion within 6 months of hire of both, nurse anesthesia program and CRNA license in accordance with NBCRNA.
Pay Range:$152.33 - $197.56/ Hour
The pay range for this position reflects the base pay scale for the role at Alameda Health System. Final compensation will bedeterminedbased on several factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, departmental equity, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and the operational needs of the organization.
