Job Overview
Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required; performs nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision. Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team.
Responsible for maintaining the knowledge and abilities essential to the performance of stated behaviors. Carries out legal responsibilities within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act. Accountable to the NURSE SVC SUPV 2 for overall work performance.
Required Qualifications- Minimum two (2) years of recent clinical RN experience in a level III Intensive Care Nursery with a surgical patient population
- Proficiency in providing care for the extreme low birth weight infants and neonates with congenital anomalies such as Pre-Operative Congenital Heart Disease
- This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.
- Bachelor of Science Nursing (BSN)
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
- Current healthcare provider CPR certification.
- Current healthcare provider NRP certification.
