Registered Nurse – OBGYN

Reliant Medical Group, part of the Optum family of businesses, seeks a Registered Nurse to join its team in Worcester, MA.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Provide effective patient care directly to patients or through telephone management.
• Deliver care based on patient’s specific needs, interview patient and significant others on admission.
• Use observation skills to assess patient: physical, psychosocial and behavioral status.
• Identify and prioritize patient problems based on assessments.
• Plan care collaboratively with the patient and multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Implement interventions and evaluate or revise the plan based on patient needs or outcomes.
• Initiate nursing interventions that assist the patient to maximize health capabilities.
• Reassess and revise plan of care according to patient or significant other’s education needs.
• Utilize EMR tools to proactively ensure that all primary and secondary prevention services are accomplished in a timely fashion.
• Administer, monitor and evaluate all therapeutic interventions including safe medication administration according to Standard Policies and Procedures, applicable state and federal laws, and immunizations.
• Start intravenous therapy for hydration and administration of medications after completion of a training program; administer intravenous medications including limited IV push medications as required.
• Consistently document all aspects of patient care and patient education; report pertinent information to physician.
• Ensure nursing judgments and plan are based on physical and psychosocial needs.
• Perform other similar and related duties as required or directed.

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Currently licensed as an RN in the State of Massachusetts.
• Proven knowledge of software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

• BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days from hire.
• 1+ year of RN/LPN experience.
• Phone triage experience.
• Experience with EMR systems (EPIC).

Hourly pay ranges from $28.94 to $51.63 per hour for full‑time employment.
