Title: Registered Nurse – Urgent Care, 12‑Hour Shifts

Schedule: 36 hours, 3 days a week consisting of 12‑hour shifts, including every other weekend. Two 12‑hour days during the week and every other weekend. Traveling to other urgent care sites as needed.

Department: Same Day Services / Urgent Care

• Collects current symptoms and detailed patient history and consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
• Performs triage, considering physical and psychosocial elements
• Conducts testing/diagnostics according to department protocol specific to chief complaint and patient condition to proactively obtain necessary information prior to provider evaluation
• Manages basic life support needs and stabilizes patients until the attending physician is available, based upon nursing standards and protocol
• Initiates corrective action whenever information from monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology
• Records patients’ current vital signs
• Works directly under physicians and advanced practitioners, assisting them during exams, diagnostic testing, and treatments
• Prepares and administers (orally, subcutaneously, intramuscularly, or through an IV) and records medications as ordered by provider

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Currently licensed as an RN in the state of Massachusetts
• Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR certification

• Certification in specialty
• 1+ year of medical/surgical or specialty experience
• Experience in an ambulatory care setting with telephone triage
• EPIC experience
• IV/infusion experience
• Any unit‑specific criteria, including age‑specific, technology, and equipment
• Proven excellent interpersonal, organization, and communication skills

Pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, and more. The hourly pay for this role will range from $28.27 to $50.48 per hour based on full‑time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
