What Your Day Will Look Like

As a quality assurance officer, you'll develop, implement, and managing the Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) program for public works construction projects. You ll ensure that all work performed complies with contract requirements, project specifications, applicable codes, regulatory standards, agency requirements, and company quality objectives. You ll collaborate with project management, field operations, subcontractors, inspectors, testing laboratories, and agency representatives to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality infrastructure projects.

Salary Range: $115k-$150k

What You ll Need
  • Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific Quality Control Plans (QCPs) and Quality Management Systems.
  • Establish project quality objectives and ensure compliance with contract documents, plans, specifications, and agency requirements.
  • Monitor and enforce adherence to company quality standards and procedures.
  • Lead project quality meetings and coordinate quality activities among project teams.
  • Identify quality risks and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or related field.
  • 7+ years of QA/QC experience in heavy civil, infrastructure, or public works construction.
  • 3+ years in a QA/QC leadership or management role.
  • Strong understanding of public works construction practices and quality management systems.
  • Experience with Caltrans, municipal, county, utility, transportation, or water/wastewater projects.
  • Proficiency with construction documentation and project management software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid California driver s license and ability to travel to project sites.
