Job Overview

Cal Enviro Screen  Research Scientist (JC-523161)
Department:
Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA)
Salary: $6,942.00 – $9,799.00 per month (New to State candidates hired at minimum classification salary)

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Plan, organize and conduct research studies of limited scope and complexity to analyze trends in environmental data and evaluate equity in the geographic distribution of Cal Enviro Screen  indicators over time.
  • Research and develop metrics; perform analyses to assess changes over time and measure progress toward improving environmental conditions in disadvantaged communities.
  • Serve as a team member on public health projects and investigations, contributing to the improvement of Cal Enviro Screen  as an environmental justice screening tool.
  • Assist in communicating findings to stakeholders and other government entities.
Working Conditions

The position may be eligible for hybrid telework for applicants residing in California in accordance with Government Code 14200. Employees not residing in California are not eligible for telework. All employees may be required to report to the designated headquarters at 1515 Clay Street, 16th Floor, Oakland, CA, or 1001 I Street, 12th Floor, Sacramento, CA.
