Retail Store Sales Associate - Bay Area Market

By exhibiting exceptional teamwork, boundless curiosity, and the utmost care, the Retail Store Sales Associate will assist their team to fulfill Blick’s commitment to customers, the arts, and local communities. This role focuses on delivering outstanding customer service, generating revenue through product knowledge, and maintaining the store through housekeeping, merchandising, and POS operations.

• Consistently deliver superior customer service by combining sales, product knowledge, and skills training to meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Complete and utilize training programs including Blick Onboarding Training, Blick Sales Training, Preferred Customer Program, Special Orders, and NDS Custom Services Training.
• Provide customer service at the Custom Services desk—making appointments, consulting on projects, taking orders, and delivering completed orders in store.
• Display an energetic and positive attitude with all customer interactions.
• Coordinate merchandise set‑ups, applying visual standards and techniques to maintain the store as directed by management.
• Follow directions and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Report low stock levels, inventory discrepancies, and customer product requests to management as required.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Working knowledge of a variety of traditional fine‑art media, including paints, markers, pencils, printmaking materials, clay, paper, etc.

• Availability for flexible schedules, including day/evening shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Regular attendance in accordance with the retail attendance policy.
• Average 15‑25 hours per week based on availability and business needs.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques and safety rules.
• Prolonged walking, standing, and climbing ladders.

Minimal local travel may be required.

High school graduate or equivalent.
