Fivetran is building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies. This full‑time, hybrid position is based in Oakland, CA, with two days in the office each week. We are looking for a Commercial/Mid‑Market Account Executive who enjoys SaaS sales, thrives in a fast‑paced startup environment, and is entrepreneurial, collaborative, ambitious, and hard‑working.
What You’ll Do- Daily outbound prospecting to target account lists to create demand and generate a consistent pipeline
- Work closely with the partner network to generate referrals, co‑sell on opportunities, and expand Fivetran's use across the partner portfolio
- Execute every sales cycle with precision, conducting discovery, product demonstrations, executive alignment, and driving positive business outcomes to deliver long‑term customer value
- Become an expert in Fivetran's technology, market, and value proposition
- Execute campaigns to drive customer adoption and expand usage within customer accounts during the first six months
- Forecast and articulate opportunities weekly using MEDDPICC and Command of the Message, while collaborating with team, peers, and cross‑functional stakeholders to provide feedback and new ideas
- Embrace and adapt to a fast‑moving environment with continuous change
- 2–3 years of experience in a closing sales role; experience in business development is crucial
- Consistent track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of holding multiple stakeholders accountable during a sales cycle
- Customer‑centric approach and passion for helping customers gain value and insight from data
- Ability to convey technical principles consultatively and conversationally
- Willingness and ability to travel as necessary
