Grower; Leamington

Job Description

Looking for a Grower for our various Greenhouse Locations.

• Oversee crop production, ensuring optimal plant health and yield.
• Monitor and manage irrigation, nutrition, climate control, and pest/disease control programs.
• Conduct regular scouting and implement Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies.
• Work closely with the growing team to optimize greenhouse conditions and production schedules.
• Maintain detailed records of crop performance, treatments, and environmental conditions.
• Collaborate with management to improve growing techniques and efficiencies.
• Other responsibilities/tasks as assigned.

• Knowledge of Hoodengoorn Climate and Irrigation System, preferred.
• Diploma in Agriculture or Horticulture.
• Health Canada Security Clearance, an asset.
• Pesticide Licence an asset.
• Minimum of 2 years grower experience.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
• Excellent time management, decision making and interpersonal skills.
• Team player.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Valid Licence as travel to various greenhouse locations required.
• Position requires Monday
  - Saturday, Holidays and after hours availability.
• Candidate must be able to stand, kneel, bend and walk for extended periods of time.
• Grower will be working with various people and cultures.
• Spanish speaking considered an asset, but not necessary.
• Candidate will be working under hot, humid conditions during summer months.
• Candidate must abide by Company policies and procedures pertaining to Health And Safety, Food Safety and Bio security.
