PositionBSG is seeking a Security Site Supervisor for a prestigious private university in Oakland. The role of Site Supervisor will oversee a large team—including Shift Supervisors and regular Campus Residence Officers—providing residence access controls through high visibility, deterrence, patrols, safety escorts, building checks, and community engagement. The Site Supervisor ensures their entire team fosters positive relationships with students, staff, and visitors, promoting a safe and welcoming environment.
The Site Supervisor manages the primary response to emergencies, overseeing the monitoring of security, communications, and fire/life safety systems, accurate event documentation, and the enforcement of campus residential rules.
The Site Supervisor reports to the Account Manager and serves as the primary liaison between campus personnel, students, law enforcement, and BSG management. The Site Supervisor ensures all shifts are staffed 24/7 through strategic management of their leadership team. Candidates should have excellent communication and leadership skills, the ability to manage large teams, strong attention to detail, and the capability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations.

- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Possess a current California Guard Card License.
- A valid Driver's License and a clean driving record are required for applicable sites.
- Reliable transportation is necessary.
- Proficient in basic computer and smartphone usage.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write in English to create accurate reports; additional language skills are a plus.
- Strong listening skills, patience, and compassion, particularly when interacting with community members experiencing emotional or psychological challenges.
- Ability to remain calm in crisis situations, think critically, de‑escalate conflicts, and communicate effectively.
- Maintain a positive, professional demeanor in adherence to all laws, regulations, company policies, and confidentiality standards.
- Ensure compliance with both company and client policies and procedures while being open to performance improvement.
