The City of Oakland is currently recruiting to fill two (2) Painter vacancies within the Oakland Public Works Department, Keep Oakland Clean & Beautiful (KOCB) Division. The Painter performs the full scope of skilled painting duties on interior and exterior structure surfaces; electrical and mechanical equipment; fences and furniture for City facilities; and may act as lead to assigned personnel.
The ideal candidate has experience painting with various tools and techniques; has worked on all kinds of structures and surfaces and at different heights; and has demonstrated knowledge of safe work practices. The individual has good communication skills, an eye for detail and the ability to follow instructions.
