Job Summary

The Journeym an Mechanic is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on the Employee Shuttle Busses.

• Performs preventative and routine maintenance such as oil changes, replacing/adding coolants and fluids, brake and tire changes, etc. on vehicles and shuttle busses.
• Performs minor/major repair of vehicles and shuttle buses such as starter motors, alternators, batteries, radiators, hydraulic drive components, diesel/gas engines, etc.
• Transports vehicles to be repaired by driving, towing, or pushing vehicle into service bay.
• Inspect parts and/or motor vehicles to identify defective or broken parts, proper fluid levels, general wear and safety items.
• Troubleshoot problems with vehicles and buses. Receives work orders and obtains the necessary tools required for the repair. Completes work orders and provides status on any "open" work orders.
• Ensures tools and equipment are maintained in an effective, safe working condition.
• Orders parts, stock parts and maintains inventory with accurate record keeping.
• Performs all other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected for this position.

• Proficient in all areas:
  May be proficient in all areas of automotive repair, including diagnostics, electrical systems, and engine repair.

  May be able to lead and mentor other mechanics.
• Keeps up with advanced training:
  Stays current with the latest technologies and repair techniques,
• Possess a valid Driving License.
• Must be able to obtain credentials required as per airport or state or customs requirements.
• High School diploma, GED or equivalent education.
• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Possess a Valid TN CDL A or B with a P endorsement or willing to obtain.
• two+ years of relevant experience in vehicle or bus maintenance. Must be open-minded and ready to work as part of a detail-oriented team.
• ASE Certification (Society of Automotive Engineers), CIMM (Certified Industrial Maintenance Mechanic) or licenses in one or more of the following disciplines is required:
• Refrigeration license/Air conditioning experience
• Electrical system and computer diagnostics
• Fleet Maintenance experience following DOT Standards.

• Must be able to constantly lift, move up to 70 lbs, push, pull; and constantly walk, stand, reach above shoulder, climb, crawl, stoop, sqat, kneel, reach, grasp outwards and bend.

• Must be able to work rotating shifts and hours, nights, weekends and holidays, overtime.
• Must be able and open to work in outside weather conditions which may include severe seasonal elements.
