HVAC-R Service Tech

Cool Sys seeks a Senior HVAC/R Service Technician to support our Facilities & Maintenance clients in the Engineering & Maintenance department. In this role, you will lead advanced troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of commercial and industrial HVACR systems, including complex refrigeration and controls. You will perform installations, retrofits, and energy-optimization projects while ensuring safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction. Partner with engineering teams, mentor junior technicians, and leverage innovative, sustainable technologies in a collaborative, growth-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain complex commercial and industrial HVAC/R systems.
• Perform installations, start-ups, and retrofits to improve energy efficiency.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and detailed system inspections.
• Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to troubleshoot issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and refrigerant regulations.
• Document service activities, parts usage, and recommendations in service software.
• Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams on complex projects.
• Provide technical guidance to junior technicians and support their development.
• Communicate clearly with clients, ensuring satisfaction and minimal downtime.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to urgent service requests.
