Access Control Mechanic

Facilities Services is recruiting for multiple Access Control Mechanic positions. The full salary range for the Access Control Mechanic position is $45.07 - $50.75 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Reporting to the Access Control & Fire Life and Safety Supervisor in the Facilities Services Maintenance Department, the Access Control Mechanic performs journey-level access control and locksmith services throughout the University of California, Riverside campus community. The Access Control Mechanic is responsible for installing, programming, troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, inspecting, and monitoring various access systems and stand-alone networks. Provides security and access control support, including procedures for buildings, safes, and operational closures.

Additionally, the Access Control Mechanic coordinates and communicates with campus customers to understand their needs and fulfill work order requests. Access control services may be performed indoors and outdoors throughout the campus. This position works closely and coordinates with other skilled trades in preparing the campus' new builds for launch and occupancy. The Access Control Mechanic is relied upon to respond to emergencies after hours, on weekends, and holidays.

This job posting is for 2 openings on a 4/10 work schedule (4 days per week, 5:30am to 4:00pm, with a one half hour lunch).
