The City of Oakland’s Public Works Department, Equipment Services Division, is looking for two (2) Equipment Body Repair Workers to assist the Division in performing routine maintenance and services on the City’s fleet of small‑light‑heavy equipment, including but not limited to, fire apparatus, street sweepers, refuse packers, pickup trucks, and other miscellaneous equipment types.

What you will typically be responsible for:
  • Inspecting and repairing automotive and heavy equipment body damage.
  • Identifying the right parts and placing orders for equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Keeping accurate records by documenting labor and parts through electronic work orders.
  • Performing routine upkeep on a variety of heavy equipment types to keep them in top shape.
