About the Internship:

As a Full Stack Engineering Intern in our Summer 2026 intern cohort, you will spend 12 weeks contributing to exciting projects and software engineering SaaS product development as part of our product engineering teams focused in areas such as Feature Management, AI Configs, and Observability, as well as our platform engineering teams. You'll participate in new feature development end-to-end, building applications used throughout the organization.

We're seeking interns who love solving difficult problems and putting new features in front of users.

This internship is onsite at our headquarters in Oakland, CA.

What you'll do:

* Work in a production environment under the guidance of senior Software Engineers, contributing code to features and fixes that will be deployed within Launch Darkly.

* Apply foundational software engineering principles to support the development of scalable and reliable systems, following established design patterns and best practices.

* Write clear, well-structured, and testable code in accordance with team standards and documented procedures.

* Troubleshoot and resolve routine issues with support from more experienced engineers.

* Participate in code reviews to receive feedback and improve technical skills.

* Collaborate with team members to complete assigned tasks and deliverables within defined timelines.

Qualifications:

* Rising junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.

* Demonstrated academic or project-based experience with at least one server-side programming language (e.g., Go, Node.js, Python, Java, C++).

* Exposure to at least one front-end technology (e.g., Type Script, JavaScript, React, Vue, Angular) through coursework, internships, or personal projects.

* Foundational understanding of computer science principles, including data structures, basic concepts in distributed systems, concurrency, and threading.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

* Demonstrates initiative and willingness to learn, seek guidance when needed, and apply feedback to improve performance.

* Understanding of the importance of code quality, testing, and established engineering best practices.

Pay:

Target pay ranges based on Geographic Zones
* for Level 1:

* Zone 1:
San Francisco/Bay Area or NYC Metropolitan Area, Boston, Seattle - $55.29/hour
