Role SummarySoftware Engineer – Robotics
Join our team as an Software Engineer – Robotics and play a pivotal role in transforming the landscape of technology. This position offers the unique opportunity to delve into complex challenges, applying your engineering expertise to design and coordinate hardware and software platforms working closely with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated industry experience in coordinating the design and execution of a product development program from prototype to mass production is a must.
Responsibilities- Support software design and development for client and in‑house projects particularly robotics
- System‑level design, implementation and documentation of complex robotic software systems
- Own autonomy and software aspects of multidisciplinary team projects.
- Contribute to deployment readiness
, including testing feedback loops, documentation, and test support - Collaborate with internal teams and external partners (vendors, contractors, and clients) as needed
- BS in Computer Science, robotics, mechatronics or related discipline
- 2 year industry experience in a robotics or adjacent role
- Proficient in python, ROS2 and other robotic concepts (e.g. IK, SLAM, etc.)
- Experience with C/C++ and Computer Vision.
- Familiarity with robotics‑relevant interfaces like CAN bus
- Experience in electronics, sensor and actuator integration
- Experience with Agile development process
- Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively to colleagues
- Ability to work with external stakeholders such as vendors and clients
- Proficient in AI‑powered agentic workflows such as Claude Code, Codex, etc.
- Previous UGV experience
This is an on‑site position, requiring in-person presence at our office in Oakland, CA and/or client site in San Francisco, CA. May require occasional travel to client deployment sites.
Compensation & Benefits- $116K - $140K annual salary
